We Fight With Light!
The 1941 Sperry searchlight is ready for action

The Sperry searchlight Arc was struck for the first time on Friday, July 5th at 5:30pm in the Searchlight shed. Later that night, Museum Curator Steve Nelson, ran the light for about 45 minutes along side Bob Meza's 1941-A General Electric Searchlight. The two lights attracted a heck of a crowd as the streets surrounding the Fort were lined with car loads of folks wondering where these beams of light were coming from.

Even though the Sperry now works, it still needs a few odds and ends to make her complete like Volt and Amp meters for the generator.
