Coast Defense Study Group Home page of the CDSG, an organization dedicated to the study and preservation of Coast Artillery. Fort Adams Trust Fort Adams in Rhode Island is the second largest masonry fortification. Fort Stevens Fort Stevens was a coastal defense fort and saw active service from the Civil War days to the end of World War II. Fort Baker Fort Baker is part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area located on the north side of the Golden Gate Bridge. The Sandy Hook Foundation The official friends group of the National Park Service (NPS) at the Sandy Hook Unit, Gateway National Recreation Area. Coastal Fortifications of the Gulf Coast An excellent site with photographs and descriptions of a number of gulf coast fortifications. The site also links to a number of coast artillery museums on the Gulf Coast.
